Bridge Rat Studios has two/ish spaces coming open for rent for an artist or maker. Our studio vibe is low-key and friendly, filled with people engaged in painting, sewing, leather art, fibers, ceramic tile(not dusty) and jewelry… The studio has 24 hour access as well as some open community spaces and a small relatively private back yard available to work in. All the utilities are included in the rent and the building has heat and AC. The building is located under the Morrison Bridge. As for the spaces- one space is a shared space; half of a large room with a sewing artist already in the space. The whole space is 14x20 so you would have 140 sq feet for $250. This space is on the main floor. The whole building has insurance but if you want insurance on your space you have to get it yourself. The other space is down one set of stairs- there is no elevator in the building so you would need to be able to carry any supplies up and down the stairs. It is about 80 sq ft (8x10) right by a window but there is more space open and available for negotiation. The downstairs space is an open floor plan so you could potentially carve out a bit of floor space for whatever you might need- but there are currently no doors to be able to close for privacy. There is a sink downstairs as well. This down stairs space is going for $2-$2.50/ft. We are looking for people who are makers- no office work please, and nothing super loud or dusty. The space is available for teaching workshops or classes or hosting small studio events if you are renting a space but nothing too often/loud. Six month lease. Call or text Becky for more information.
