Professional Bass Player looking for quality of gigs not quantity

Description

Plenty of stage and studio recording experience with 4 LP albums under my belt. I have a decent 9-5 job and not planning to change that for now. That said, money through music is not a priority these days. More important for me is the quality of sound of the band and the quality of gigs. The band must have an advanced-expert drummer. I am a corporate trained professional. Always on time (gigs and practices) with zero drama. Will expect the same from my fellow bandmates. Willing to rehearse (depending on driving distances) between 1-3 nights a week. I can play tight-solid grooves. I'm not the best rock-n-roll bass player and definitely not interested in playing the usual and extremely boring covers. My biggest influences come from black music and mostly black bass players. I can play with worldwide studio quality, timing, tone and punch: Reggae, Afrobeat, the "real" Blues, Funk, R&B, and Afrocuban basslines. Google/Spotify: I am a founding member of Millo Torres y El Tercer Planeta out of San Juan, PR. They are still actively recording and playing today after 25 years. I am playing bass on 100% of the songs in Millo's first four albums: SoƱando Realidad (1997), Caminando (1999), Mundo de Locura (2001), Canciones de Reggae y Ska "LIVE" (2003), and the compilation record named 1999-2002. Plenty of videos in YouTube as well. Canciones de Reggae y Ska is a live album (I believe there is no better resume than a live album with no opportunity for overdubs). Live in New Port Richey area but spend most of my weekends in St. Pete. Hit me up funky drummer! Tinci
