Guitar wanted for original SF band

Description

Hi we’re an established band, looking for an electric lead guitarist to be a regular member. Original songs + some choice covers. We mostly play in SF and the near East Bay, places like Make-Out Room, Ivy Room, El Rio. Also open to venues in the greater Bay Area + beyond for the right fit. We like to do 1-set showcase type gigs on bills with other original acts, but also play some 2-3 set bar gigs, and privates here and there. In general we’d rather play for music fans rather than just bar patrons. It’s a 6-pc lineup with a very strong female singer/songwriter, acoustic gtr/vox, pedal steel, electric bass, drums + YOU! Old-school country leaning with a rootsy rock approach. Lead vocals in a Linda Ronstadt, Debbie Harry, Maria McKee kinda way. We love the masters but aren’t going for a retro vibe. We can rock but don’t wanna be too loud. We like ‘em upbeat but also dark & moody. Rock band approach for people who like real country music. You’d be: less is more approach, great tone, small rig w/ a big sound, play for the song, know when not to play, be able to rip some hot leads. You’re a good harmony singer? Even better! We’ve all been doing this for a long time at a semi-pro level, you learn your parts and make us sound even better! interplay with the steel, short thoughtful solos, all the usual stuff. Fun, easygoing peeps but take it seriously. We’d like do to 8-12 gigs a year so this would totally work for someone that plays in other bands. We have a 6-song EP and want to record the next batch of originals. We have a nice rehearsal space at Secret Studios in SF. How ‘bout you learn a half-dozen tunes and come sit in with us and see how it goes? Thanks!
