Please read the following as it may save a life: The following are MY experiences with VSC. Please do NOT take your pet here. Do NOT disregard just because of all the positive reviews on yelp and google. On yelp, for example, scroll all the way to the bottom. You will see "reviews not recommended." Click on it and you will see so many reviews. If you notice they are all basically negative. Why? Because VSC pays yelp to remove negative reviews from public eye. But, I assure you that these "not recommended reviews" speak the real truths of this hospital. This hospital put me and my family through absolute hell. They took advantage and manipulated us because they saw HOW MUCH we love our baby boy, Otis. They knew I would do ANYTHING to save him. They put us through torture with unnecessary procedures, tests. They gave us so much false hope that we stupidly went along, thinking they would save our boy. They price gauge beyond comprehension. When the money finally ran out, they "could no longer help Otis." They will load your pet up on medications that cause side effects or adverse reactions, and then treat those with MORE medication. Why? Because they charge an insane amount for meds. They want to hospitalize your pet because they can charge outrageous fees. There is no speciality doctors (internal medicine, etc.) in on the weekends so if your pet is seeing one and has an emergency, they will spend the weekend in a cage. I have seen the back room. It was horrible. Pets scattered everywhere and they are kept in tiny, metal, uncomfortable cages that they can barely stand up in.  There is absolutely NO communication. The doctors are in and out. A revolving door of pets (profit only to them). You will be left in the dark not knowing anything going on with your pet. They do not go over lab results or such so you can understand. They just spew out a bunch of medical jargon and exit the room. There is no pet liaison to help the huge gap. I could not even get the name of the practice manager and the front desk refused to let me speak to her.  The internal medicine doctor we worked with could not find a diagnosis for Otis. Instead merely stating Otis was a "complex case." Any feedback I had or questions I had were immediately dismissed.  After my sweet boy passed- and still no answer on cause of death- I called and asked to speak to practice manager for answers. The front desk yet again refused to let me speak to her. I simply stated that I would come in and wait in the lobby and wait until she would speak to me. I was hung up on and they called Buffalo Grove PD on me! AND it took them 3 months to send me all records. However, after every visit/hospitalization they would e-mail me a "clinical summary" and those summaries and the reports they sent do not line up. They altered and falsified on the reports sent to me.  Throughout my advocacy I have been subjected to bullying, harassment, and intimidation by VSC. But it does not faze me. I will continue my cause. They are cowards who hide behind attorneys. They have no compassion they only care about compensation.  I hope you take by warning to heart before taking your pet to this vet. We are going to continue to demand for justice for our beloved pets so they do not die in vain.  Thank you.
