Looking to form a jam band - dads/moms who rock

Looking to put together a band, something to get together once a week, play some music, maybe write some tunes, who knows, maybe play a show here and there. I'm a guitarist/singer/ songwriter, been in bands but haven't done much since starting a family (7 years ago) and need to get back into it as my sanity requires it. Seeking like-minded neighbors who want to get together and play some music! And if you have a place TO play, that would be awesome and we can name the band after you. But even if you don't, we'll figure it out. As mentioned, I have dad/husband responsibilities, but I can, and would very much like to dedicate a night to Rock. Let me know if this post speaks to you! I know there are more like me out there. Let's shake off the rust and turn it up... show the kids how it's done! I'm in 90045, I think practically speaking, within a 5-8 or so mi radius of LAX is probably do-able for me in terms of a weekly get together. Musical tastes - I'm a product of the 80s and 90s but have older siblings so plenty of classic rock influences too - Radiohead, Crowded House, Foo Fighters, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Michael Penn, Elvis Costello, Van Halen, Prince, Buffalo Tom, Soul Coughing, Matthew Sweet, Sugar... going back in time some more... Steely Dan, Elton John, Billy Joel, Led Zepplin, Doobie Brothers,.38 Special... hopefully that draws a picture. And if you are a fan of the Monkees, well, we need to jam.
