Description

A few geezers around 60 and the drummer who's early 40's got ourselves a loud power pop band. We love Ramones, Cheap Trick, Replacements, etc. We are nearly all originals. We'll have a video of a recent open mic gig in a day or two. Looking for a singer who can practice on Sunday eves. If you play another instrument that's just fine, it's fine if you don't. Men, women, not sure is fine. We practice at the world famous Barco Rebarb Studios in Falls Church. OK, maybe it's not world famous but we love the owner Richard and it's a pro level facility. Men, women, not sure is fine. The bass player (me) has 2 other projects hopefully taking off soon. Having been studying cello for a year (from Blake Babies to Beethoven) I am partnering up with another beginner adult student. Maybe we'll put together a complete rip off of the Koronos Quartet. I am putting together an acoustic act made up of instruments seldom seen in rock bands. Anyone play the ukulele? French horn? Glockenspiel? The idea is to play covers of punk, new wave/alternative, 70's stadium rock at open mics and hope that it grows into something more. Think TMBG.
