Your mission if you choose to accept it... The Technical Site Manager’s role is critical in ensuring the success of our events. Working closely with our Company Manager’s and Venue Partners, the Technical Site Manager will lead a team of industry professionals with the primary responsibility of executing the install of our event on time and on budget. Reporting to the Company Manager you will oversee day-to-day operations of the installation and strike phases for the assigned city and provide support throughout the show run. This is a dynamic and demanding role that requires a high level of proficiency in project management and team leadership. COMMITMENT: Dates may change based on location Install: Nov 01-26, 2022 (10-12 hrs per days / 7am - 7pm / 6 days per week) Show: Nov 26-Jan 1, 2023, (8-10 hrs per days / 3pm - midnight / 5 days per week) Strike: Jan 02-15, 2023 (10-12 hr days / 7am - 7pm / 6 days per week) May include some travel for training purposes. WHO WE ARE: We are creators of a magical event called Enchant Christmas. We have hosted over three million guests over the past 5 years and have experienced significant growth. While Christmas is a big part of what we do, it is only the beginning of where we intend to go. WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Responsible for managing the install and strike based on the production schedule, scope and cost baseline; providing real time updates on budget and schedule progress. Lead a team of event professionals by setting clear objectives and expectations. Facilitate daily meetings to communicate goals and monitor progress. Oversee all technical phases and disciplines of the event installation, show run and strike. Collaborate with all departments ensuring their technical requirements are met. Monitor site expenditures to maintain budgetary control. Work closely with our venue partners to ensure clear communication between our operational teams. Assist in the recruitment, hiring and training of seasonal employees as needed. Work in collaboration with our HQ team to advance the event for your market (ex. supplier recommendations and contract appointments). Responsible for meeting schedule milestones and pivoting where necessary to meet Show Opening dates. Demonstrate a culture of transparency and accountability. Provide daily updates to leadership on the progress/challenges/concerns re: install or strike. Establish clear lines of communication between your team, personnel, and all stakeholders. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM: 10+ years of experience in large live event production, services, and management. Project Management experience and proficiency in Office (or equivalent) software is required. Smartsheets knowledge is a benefit. Highly organized and detail oriented. Entrepreneurial and self-driven. Strong communicator and articulate; excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven leader as demonstrated by executing multiple successful projects. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite software (Sheets / word etc.). Ability to generate reports, budgets and schedules. Understanding of event installation methodologies: Tools, Equipment, Materials, and Processes. A sincere desire to help create magical memories.
