We are one of New York's premier in-home pet services companies. We are currently looking for an "experienced" cat grooming assistant who will help the cat groomer with handing cats in the client's home. All grooming takes place in the client's home in Manhattan on Wednesdays and Saturdays. You will be responsible for setting up the equipment for the groom, proper handling/restraining the cat and cleaning up after the groom. Requirements for this position include: *Must have experience in cat holding and restraint *Have an understanding of the cat’s anatomy *Ability to keep a cat calm during the groom and collaborating with groomer on alternatives *Being able to deal safely with difficult cats *Ability to follow instructions *Compassion and empathy for both cats and animal owners *Prompt and reliable *Polite and respectful of the client’s home *You must be adult; professional, organized and mature *Have regular email access *Have a smart phone *Must be able to work in the US *Have business references *Must be available on Wednesdays and Saturdays This position is ideal for an active person who is in good physical shape and looking to supplement their income.
