Hiring for UAB Hospital & Retirement Community jobs! ** Date: THURSDAY, OCT 20th! ** Time: 10 am - 1 pm ** Location: BIRMINGHAM CAREER CENTER. 3216 4th Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35222 UAB Hospital Jobs: ** HOUSEKEEPING - Base pay $12.00/hr., PLUS $520 Retention Bonus every 90 days. Full time openings for NIGHT SHIFT, 11:00 pm-7:30 am. ** PATIENT TRANSPORT - $13.00/hr. Evening Shifts 3pm-11:30pm, Night Shifts 11pm-7:30am Will be transporting wheelchairs and beds throughout the hospital. Walking @ 90% of the time. ** FOOD SERVICE POSITIONS - $13.00 /hr. -- Food Runner – DAY & EVENING shifts. Stocking carts with fulfilled orders/trays and delivering within the hospital rooms. -- Sweepers – DAY & EVENING shifts. Retrieving used trays and utensils from patient rooms. -- Trayline – DAY & EVENING shifts. Building the order on the tray by selecting the items indicated on the ticket. -- Experienced Cooks - $17.00 /HR. TO START – DAY & EVENING shifts. Must have experience is commercial kitchen. Will be front of house or back of house using recipes and cooking food orders. RETIREMENT COMMUNITY JOBS - Irondale & I-459/Hwy 280 areas: ** Kitchen Helpers (I-459/Hwy 280 area) - $13.00 /hr. - Full time, Thu-Mon 11 am – 7:30 pm (Tue’s & Wed’s off). ** Housekeeper (Irondale) - $12.00 /hr. - Full time, Mon-Fri 8 am – 4 pm; rotating weekends. ** Floor Tech (Irondale) - $12.00 /hr. - Full time, Mon-Fri 6 am – 2 pm (weekend when needed). ** Laundry Attendant (Irondale) - $12.00 /hr. – WEEKENDS, Sat & Sun, 7 am – 3 pm.
