Description
If you are experiencing grief, loss, sadness, suffering from hopelessness, bad dreams, exhaustion or unexplained anger, you are not alone. Join us as we take a journey together over a 3-day weekend, exploring the wounds of our hearts. We will provide a space for you and others to process your pain, release it, and work towards wholeness using best mental health practicies and wisdom from the Bible. We will also use activities, art, and interactive discussion to help you engage deeply with yourself, with God and with each other to process what’s happening in your heart. Topics covered will include: what happens when someone is grieving, why God allows suffering, where to take our pain, forgiving people who have hurt us, and how to build resilence in our lives. Together we will walk towards healing, hope and restoration. This program is being sponsored by Holy Family of Jesus Cambodian Church. About Us Our method is holistic and a Bible-based approach, recognizing mind, body, and spirit. The core program is based on the workbook, Healing the Wounds of Trauma, which has been refined for the last 10 years and translated in 150 languages. You will be led by trained facilitators. About the Facilitators Your facilitators, Greg & Jamie Stuckey and Heather Bennett, are trained in Oral Story-Based Trauma Healing through the Trauma Healing Institute (THI) at American Bible Society. They are part of a global collaboration of ministries and ministers dedicated to helping people around the world heal from the pain of trauma. https://traumahealinginstitute.org Languages We will host in English but can provide translation in Khmer ខ្មែរ if we know in advance.
