Meet at Marine Park waterfront parking lot: 100 Harris Ave, Bellingham WA Join us for a morning of bird watching in Fairhaven at Marine Park and Padden Creek Lagoon. Off the coast at Marine Park, birders can see a plethora of geese, gulls, cormorants, diving ducks, loons, and other autumn/winter specialties. Neighboring Padden Creek Lagoon is home to herons, dabbling ducks, and shorebirds. We will walk from Marine Park along the Lower Padden Creek and Larabee Trail toward the Post Point Heron colony. Join us in appreciating all that Bellingham's quaint coastline has to offer. All are welcome! As of March 18, 2022 Washington State does not require face coverings or vaccination for NCAS activities. The following guidelines are provided for your information from the Washington State Department of Health: Masks are no longer required in many places, individuals may want to continue to wear a mask for added protection against COVID-19, including those who are immunocompromised, those living with someone immunocompromised, or simply those who may just feel safer wearing a mask. Everyone should assess their own personal risk when making this decision. Additionally, everyone should continue to use COVID-19 prevention measures such as staying up to date on vaccination, handwashing, testing, and staying home when you’re sick.
