This three-hour experience begins with an hour boat trip down Breton Bay to St. Clements Island where passengers will disembark and spend an hour exploring this historic island where English settlers first landed in what was to become Maryland. On the water, you'll get a new perspective on the beautiful landscapes and farmlands of St. Mary's. On the Island, enjoy a picnic lunch, learn more about the Jesuits who settled Maryland, explore the beautiful wooded path around the island, or just spread out a blanket and soak up the sun until it's time to depart for the mainland. Share your island experiences and enjoy more of the natural landscape on the hour return to Leonardtown Wharf. Guests of all ages are welcome and encouraged to bring food and beverages to enjoy on the the boat or at the picnic tables on the island. Amenities are limited on the island.
