Join us as we practice yoga meditation to transcend ego consciousness and experience expanded states of calmness love, joy, and other soul qualities. The material world asks us to live at a frenetic pace and begs for our time and attention. Yoga meditation invites us to turn our attention away from the busy outer world and focus it on the perfect calmness of the indwelling soul – the source of happiness, healing, and contentment. This 8-week meditation program is ideal for individuals who wish to understand and experience the perfect calmness, love, and wisdom that dwells within. John Parssinen, an experienced meditation facilitator, creates a safe and supportive space for participants to quiet the mind and body and experience expanded states of awareness. All are welcome. No experience necessary. This program includes a Silent Meditation Series (8 sessions) on Wednesday evenings and a Guided Meditation Series (8 sessions) on Sunday mornings. These sessions complement each other and enable attendees to deepen their practice. There are several enrollment options. Sign up for all 16 sessions (recommended + best value) or pick and choose which days you wish to come. Silent Meditation Series (8 sessions): This program teaches yogic techniques of healing affirmation, mantra practice and silent meditation. These simple techniques allow us to enter a deep state of relaxation and awareness. John teaches meditation techniques that anyone can use and creates a peaceful environment for participants to go into stillness. Each weekly session will include healing affirmation/mantra practice followed by approximately 20 minutes of silent meditation. Sessions will end with a sound healing. Dates: Every Wednesday from 9/21 – 11/09 (8 total sessions) NOTE: Oct. 12 cancelled Time: 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm Guided Meditation Series (8 sessions): This program offers individuals the opportunity to experience expanded awareness through guided meditation. Each weekly session offers a tailored experience for individuals to relax, release any stress or tension, and enter a deep state of relaxation and awareness. Guided meditations awaken the healing powers of imagination, visualization, will power and intuition to create healing in the body/mind/soul. Participants will attune with the powerful and innate soul qualities that dwell within, including bliss-joy, love, and calmness.
