Sew Saturdays are back from there summer break and we are (Sew) excited to get our classes back up and running! We have 2 classes normal classes one for beginners (2-4p.m.) and intermediate (4:30-6:30) and our new class open sew class on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month 12-2p.m Beginner sewing class September 24th: Sewing 101 - Learn the basic from threading, learning the machine parts, & sewing straight Supplies: basic sewing kit October 1st: Patterns- Learn how to use commerical sewing patterns Supplies:pillow pattern (e.g. MCCall 4123,Simplicity 1633) , about 1-2 yards of fabric, Polly Filled, thread, sewing kit October 15th: Notions & Seams- Learn some sewing terminology and techniques Supplies: 1yard of fabric, thread, and sewing kit October 22& 29: Jacket or Hoodie - Learn how to make a hoodie Supplies: hoodie or jacket pattern (e.g Simplicity S9458, McCall8249), fabric and notions (check pattern for amount) Other classes would be add at a later date Intermediate Class September 3rd: Sewing 101- review September 10: Patterns pillow project September 24th- october 1st: drafting and pattern making project: hoodie/ jacket Supplies curve ruler, t-shape ruler, fabric, notions, and basic sewing kit October 15 & 22 Notions & Seams project: Bookbag construction - using pattern skills to make a bookbag supplies: bookbag pattern (e.g. simplicity 1388, mccall 6176) check pattern for details October 29- Designer Day you sketch it and make it Open Sew Class is every 2nd And 4th Saturday of the month This is an open classes for people to have a space to sew and to get help from our skill instructors on whatever sewing project you working on
