Josephine Caring Community is recruiting volunteer chaplains to provide emotional and spiritual care for our residents under the guidance and support of our Spiritual Care Department. Our chaplains will receive educational and experiential training in a 9-month preparation program (Jan.-Sept. 2023) specific to Josephine which requires appx. 11 hours/month. After the program, chaplains are encouraged to commit to at least one year of service with a caseload that is comfortable for them. Please note that chaplains honor and nurture the diverse spiritual perspectives and resources of residents and do not impose any specific beliefs or agenda. There is no financial compensation for this position but the community service and personal growth will be rewarding. Josephine is committed to recognizing the important contributions of our volunteers. The application deadline is November 14th with the training program beginning in early January 2023.
