Jazz Classes at NOVA - Spring 2023

We will be offering the following Jazz Classes at NOVA Spring 2023 at the Alexandria campus only: 1. NOVA Night Hawks Big Band - meets Monday nights, 7 - 9:45, directed by Professor Gunn, 1 credit 2. Jazz Combos - meet Tuesday nights, 7:30 - 10:30, directed by Professor Perez, 1 credit 3. Jazz Improvisation - meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4 - 5:50, taught by Professor Gunn, 3 credits, 3 Steps to Improv: Bebop and Beyond, must be able to read music for this class Anyone can register for any class they want at NOVA, and the cost is $185 per credit hour. Classes run January 17 - May 12. You can fill out a form to audit the class, which means you don't have any grades, just sit in and learn. Registration will open up soon. Anyone over the age of 60 can obtain a reimbursement for the class, but you are not allowed to sign up until 3 days before the class starts, if you want to obtain the class for free. We are in need of horns - especially trombone and trumpet, for the big band - please reach out if you have any questions! Professor Gunn
