Description
Join us for our November West Side Association Meeting where we will hear from a Panel of New Business Owners in Oshkosh, WI. Entrepreneurs and small businesses are critical to the growth of the economy. Ninety-nine percent of all businesses in the United States are small businesses and represent an important aspect of the current economic model. Join us for our November West Side Association Meeting where we will hear from an engaging panel of new small business owners in Oshkosh, WI. Speakers for the panel include: Nikki Torgerson- Advanced Bed Bug Preparation, Joshua Holz- Glow in the Park Indoor Mini Golf & Lizz Redman- Thunderbird Bakery. Advanced Bed Bug Preparation- Nikki and her family experienced a bed bug infestation a few years ago, and know firsthand, the shame, guilt, disgust, time, hassle, and mental stress associated with the process of bed bug eradication. Recognizing the need within the industry and community to provide a compassionate, comprehensive, and expert service in the area, Nikki started Advanced Bed Bug Preparation. The company was founded in October of 2021 and is currently the only company in the WI providing strictly bed bug cleaning and laundry services so Nikki and her team have been all across the state! Website: https://www.advancedbbp.com/ Glow in the Park Indoor Mini Golf- After creating a side business renting out a portable mini golf course, Joshua noticed how a wide range of people enjoy a game of mini golf despite their age or skill level. Playing mini golf has always been a cherished memory for Joshua. The small amount of time he had to spend with his father when visiting Oshkosh was often spent playing mini golf. Joshua opened Glow in The Park Indoor Mini Golf, a fresh new family entertainment option in July of 2022. Website: https://www.glowintheparkoshkosh.com/ Thunderbird Bakery- After graduating college, Lizz lived in Central America, where she fell in love with food and cooking. Her travels inspired her to further pursue a master’s degree in sustainable food systems at The University of Montana. Although she worked in numerous kitchens around the country, she ultimately came to love the startup process and helped launch several food businesses including a cold-pressed company, a craft ice cream brand, the Café at the Howard, and the Oshkosh Food Co-op. Currently, Lizz runs the behind-the-scenes operations of the bakery, yet still loves to use her passion for food to collaborate on new products and flavors with her growing team.
