October is domestic violence awareness month so this is the perfect time to not only raise awareness, but celebrate survivors stories, as well as remember those who did not survive their abuse. Domestic violence and sexual assault happen every single day, not just around the world but right here in Cleveland! Let’s come together as a community and help support one another.

Jess Patz is one of our incredible speakers event organizers with her husband Kevin through their “I Choose Hope” organization.
Jess may be a passionate philanthropist, courageous thought leader and disruptive motivational speaker, but back home in Ohio, she’s a busy mom of four. She currently travels across the country with “The Igniting Hope Summit” that she founded in April of 2022.
Through her story of domestic abuse survival and loss, Jess will inspire you to do the impossible. Now that her ex-husband is in prison for 20 years, she is finally free to share her story and teach others how purposeful their pain is. Jess has taken something that should have broken her and turned it into a tool to help others
She has been featured in multiple media outlets including television, radio, and podcasts across the country. Jess is thrilled to bring her story of hope, heartache, and healing to you!
On May 3rd 2022 Alyssa Pinardo was shot and killed at the age of only 18 by her then boyfriend in an act of domestic violence. Alyssa was an AP student who dreamed of becoming a businesswoman. Only two weeks before she was meant to graduate high school, her life came to a tragic end.
Nick Pinardo, her father, will be speaking to share Alyssa’s story and how this nightmare has affected their family.
