Hello I am drummer and I am looking to start an original band. I am 40 years old and I'm not picky about age honestly. I don't care how old you are. What I really care about is that we gel and we genuinely enjoy playing with each other. I'm not looking to "make it", I'm not looking for ego's, drama, pissing contests, or anything that resembles a bad time. I just want to have fun and see what we do from there. I'm not against playing some shows, I'm not against recording, I'm not against trying to make a few bucks or more, and I'm not against an opportunity anymore. I'm just not dead set determined to make it a profession anymore, if it happens it happens and we'll cross that bridge when and if it comes, if not then no sweat. I want to do some original stuff and I want us all to be equals. We all share writing credits, if you wrote your part, you get credit, I want this to be collaborative, fun, and team oriented. We all need people, nobody is a solo act exclusively. Even solo artists need a backing band (among other people) and without them they perform no show unless its A cappella (and in most cases those aren't too fun). Anyway, I'd like to try something different this time that I have always wanted to do. I've done the hard rock stuff and I'd like to bring it down and do some more relaxed stuff. I'd like to do some music alond the lines of Traffic, Crosby, Stills & Nash, CSN&Y, Jethro Tull, Eagles, Jackson Browne, Steely Dan, Michael Nesmith and artists like that. I am open to any suggestions as well. Again this would be a team oriented band. I'm not looking for your skill, I'm looking for your flavor. I don't care about how pro you are or how many years you have been playing. The right players will gel and get better. If you can hang musically, you can join. I am looking for Lead and Rhythm Guitar, Male and Female Vocal, Bass, Keyboard, Percussion, and am interested in a horn section as well. If you get my drift, we can talk as we grow and shape this thing nicely. If anyone is interested, please hit me up and we can discuss getting started and what that would look like. Ideally I'd like to get together a couple times a month maybe more once we get rolling. Again, this is for fun and the enjoyment of making and playing music. NO drama, no drugs, no alcohol, just fun and enjoyment.
