We offer store credit for gently used books. We offer store credit for gently used books.Sorry, we do not buy books.COVID- 19 UPDATE Beginning July 6, we are trading and taking donations again. For the safety of our staff and shoppers, please review the guidelines below. ALL trades must be arranged by appointment in advance. We can take 1 box or 2 bags per appointment. Bring books in a container you do NOT want back, as they will be quarantined before we can receive them into inventory. We cannot return any books that we are not taking for credit.Donations/Drop Offs are accepted on Mondays and Thursdays. We can take 1 box or 2 bags at a time and the container must be one you do not want back. All used books are quarantined in the container brought to the shop for your safety and ours. What we are currently taking for credit- Paperback fiction less than 10 years old - Hardcover history and nonfiction less than 5 years old - Paperback nonfiction less than 10 years old - Picture books in very good condition less than 10 years old- Children's books in very good condition less than 10 years old. What we are not taking- Hardcover fiction more than 1 year old- Any biographies or memoirs- Magazines, encyclopedias, workbooks, textbooks- Children's books older than 15 years- Any books with torn covers or broken spines How does store credit work? A credit account is established for you, and all information is kept in our computer system (no card for you to keep track of!) Store credit is good for HALF of any USED BOOK purchase. Example: if you are buying $10 worth of used books, we charge you $5 (plus tax) and deduct $5 from your store credit. We cannot allow a drop off of books for us to “look at”; all books left at the store become property of Aaron’s Books. (We have such limited space that once the books are in our tiny storage area we can’t keep them separated.)
