This workshop series will help you discover how to autonomously reduce stress, improve mobility and overall body resilience by learning scientifically supported and simple methods of Self- Myofascial Release (SMFR). You will learn nine self-applied techniques and how to use them for a more tailored body therapy. SMFR is a key component to both preparing the body for efficient movement and for helping the body recover afterward. Application of these methods will improve your quality of life, regardless of your shape, size, fitness level, and/or condition. Join the full series for whole-body resilience or individual workshops for specific targeted relief. Class No. 1 Saturday, October 15th - For Desk Workers and Headache ReliefDo you find your head creeping forward? Feel frequent tightness in your chest or shoulders? Have an aching upper back? Or suffer from tension headaches? This first workshop will focus on developing effective, efficient and personalized relief for your head, neck and shoulders. Class No. 2 Saturday, November 12th - For Hiker’s, Runner’s, Walker’s and Low Back PainThis workshop will provide tactile experiences of working with the tissues of your body, to relieve acute and chronic tension that builds in the hips, belly and low back. Muscles of the body accumulate tension with repetitive movements. Learn to efficiently prepare your body for your movement activities, effectively ease tension after, promote muscle recovery and reduce soreness. Class No. 3 Saturday, December 10th - For People on their Feet all day longOur lower body works all day long carrying us to and through all that we do. Come and learn how to deepen your ability to take care of and support your hips, knees and feet. For all classes we will be using Tune Up Fitness props, specifically the Roll Model Method, we will provide all props, and you are welcome to buy them (before or after workshops) so you can continue your practice at home.
