I have an existing dining room light fixture (see pictures) hanging down that I'd like to make "removeable". In other words, probably install a standard electric outlet on the ceiling and splice the power cord so that the chandelier can be unplugged/disconnected, taken down from the hook, and set aside as needed.
Then later on I can hang the lights right back up on the ceiling and plug 'em in, super easy, whenever I want, have the whole process take me only 30 seconds or so. The reason for all this is that I'm turning my dining room into an excercise/game room, so the chandelier has gotta go because of ceiling space. But of course I'd like to be able to still hang the lights back up occasionally, for dinnertable guests!
I will pay $100 cash for the successful completion of this job. I don't "text" - phone call or email only. Respond to the CL ad here please and include your qualifications. Before you start on the job I'll need to see your electrician's license or some sort of proof that you know what you're doing with re-wiring electric lines/outlets. Prefer someone local (Rockford, Cedar Springs, NE side of GR, etc).
