2 dogs picked up by animal control

2:00 p.m. Animal control picked up 2 dogs from the ballfield at Hilltop Park off of Buckingham Square. A young German Shepherd female and an older blond/white retriever (lab type) female who looked like the tail was shorter than normal. No collars, both well mannered and were an easy catch for the animal control officer. Both seemed hungry and thirsty. They were shut in the fenced ballpark and looking for a way to get out. They are on their way to animal control. If you lost them they are now safe. If they were abandoned the owner should be corraled and hauled off like the dogs.
