The Band: seeking to put together a 5 piece Psychedelic Rock Band. This starts with the song. Texture and atmosphere. I have hundreds of originals. Adventures improve adds to the songs a spontaneous dimension. Looking to play live gigs and record. We have drive and focus but never forget that at the center of the music is fun. a nice mixture of originals and covers with our own spin. No endless rehearsals, so everyone needs to have the chops and be prepared for rehearsals. That means you have the talent, time and effort to put in. The sound: will incorporate combination rock, some hypnotic grooves, flavors of country, blues and americana. It's essential that the rhythm section locks in, grooves, weaves and swings. Some of the influences; Pink Floyd, The Dead, The Stones, Black Crowes, Allman Brothers, Mark Knopfler, Traffic, Bob Dylan, Black Dub, Velvet Underground, Neil Young, The Byrds,.... Myself: 60 something (youthful energy), lots of experience. I play guitar and sing. I'm primarily a rhythm guitar player which I do well and I can do some decent lead. Prefer a great guitar lead to weave with. I can sing lead vocal and harmonies. Since the last bands I have learned some amazing breathing techniques which have really expanded my vocals. I've created bands 4 times over the years. Have played large festivals and some nice halls. I have a talented bass player and drummer that will join us. You have chops, experience, time and are motivated. Seeking Lead guitar and keyboards. Pedal steel welcome. If you can sing lead vocals, let's share assuming you add an interesting dimension to the gumbo. Harmony vocals are a big plus.
