The Fleet Mechanic’s primary purpose will require the individual to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, snowplows, salters, and trailers. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair fleet vehicles and equipment Troubleshoot and repair small engine equipment (ie. mowers, blowers, etc.) Manage/oversee both central and south Jersey yards Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks Receive and process invoices for payment Act as vendor billing point of contact Maintain parts inventory and budget Maintain work area ensuring organization and cleanliness Ensure safe work practices WINTER: be able to operate a Loader / Plow Truck for Snow Removal Services - out in areas during storms for repairs Key Qualifications: Two years technical education completed or minimum three years hands-on experience (gas or diesel accepted) Proficient in Microsoft Office programs Ability to handle physical requirements, including, but not limited to, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds Valid driver’s license Ability to obtain CDL B within specified period of time ASE Certification required within specified period of time Must possess personal tools Positive team-player attitude Possesses exceptional work ethic, energy, and drive Working Environment: Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods Stoop, kneel or crouch Use your hands and fingers to handle, feel or move objects, tools or controls Talk, hear, see, read and write Use a smartphone, tablet or other device for scheduling Use first aid equipment, fire extinguisher and power and hand tools Lift, move and carry objects up to 65 pounds Work in different weather conditions – Warm, Hot, Cold, Wet, Freezing Weekdays, Weekends, Overnights and Holidays a possibility Tools: You have your own tools and equipment.  Specialty tools are provided by EEG Available: You are available and eligible to start full time employment in the U.S. Benefits: Health Insurance 401k Paid time off Professional development assistance Dental and vision insurance Company Truck East End Group provides paid training, competitive salary, performance-based advancement, paid vacation, paid holidays, health benefits and 401(k) as well as other great incentives.
