Aloha, Project Hawai’i, Inc. is gearing up to provide the homeless children with all their hygiene and support to keep them clean and healthy during the fall season. We need YOUR support!! This project allows YOU to help make all this possible. Did you know that homeless children and those living in poverty stricken environments have many social issues at school all because they are not clean or have enough to eat. We provide the children with monthly support to assure they are well prepared for their school days. Over the past 19 years, Project Hawai’i, Inc. has been a strong supporter and activist for the National Hunger and Homeless Awareness events. Holding the COC chairperson for the islands for 5 years in a row. Join us to help end the cycle of homelessness and keep our keiki clean and healthy. If you want to start a fundraiser on your own prior to the event, such as a penny or coin drive, or a social media drive, please let us know. You can make a difference. To sponsor one child's monthly hygiene kit is $18. Everyone who participates in any of our Campaign during the month of November will be entered in the drawing for amazing gifts from our supporters, such as movies for 2 including snacks, pizza party or even $100. Restaurant gift card... more gifts added throughout the month. How to Volunteer: PLEASE NOTE: The volunteer coordinator is out of the country until the 5th of Nov. ONCE you connect you are on the list and we will send follow up details on the 8th 1. Click to sign up/ Let me know your choice of location and the shift/time you are attending 2. Show up at the event ready to have fun and walk.. yes lots of walking to collect donations from the community. 3. Bring a water bottle (we do provide and have snacks, but best to be prepared) 4. Bring a friend!! get an additional drawing entry 5. Teens 13 and older can come without a parent. Any one younger or groups of young children must have a group adult chaperone Open to all groups, clubs, companies who wish to make a difference. Families with children are usually comfortable with ages 8 and up. LOCATIONS: Nov. 12th - Saturday Pearl City at Manana Park on the corner of Kuala and Waimano Home Rd at the Tennis courts. This event has the choice of 10a-2p, or from 10:00-12:00, or 11:00-1:00a or from 12:00-2:00 please let me know what time you choose Nov. 13th - Sunday Kane'ohe at the WINDWARD city shopping center in the First Hawaiian Bank parking lot near the KFC. This event is from 11:00a -1:30p One shift. Mahalo for your time.
