This is a fairly fast paced environment. If you have not recently worked in a warehouse, please do not apply. We are BIG into teamwork and operate with a cohesive team of 4 individuals. Quick thinkers that pride themselves in 100% accuracy are at the front of the line. You will be part of a two person team, we have two teams. They work in a swamp cooled warehouse with a AC cooled break room. This can be a warm day in and outside of the warehouse loading contractor material, mainly inside. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and lengths up to 30' with others. Excellent balance is a must. Duties for this position include but are not limited to: • Ensuring efficient and professional implementation of warehouse operations, regularly updated and 100% accuracy inventory, and maintaining safety procedures in the warehouse. Expertise in warehouse organization is a MUST! • Participating in assisting owner in daily operations, if you can perform IT work, working with a medium amount of packing lists daily, etc. Assist three employees at times in daily receiving, loading/unloading, counting, storing and organizing material, general organizing and at times manual labor. Detail you experience in this area. • Helping generate shipping/receiving/inventory/packing documents. Tracking/filing of appropriate documentation, and updating information to supervisors. We can train in basics our system. A quick thinker is a MUST!! Organizational skills must be outstanding. • Monitoring shipments and deliveries, verifying and preparing shipping/pick up of orders, to meet customer requirements. • Communicating professionally with employees and other operational issues; ________________________________________ Requirements: • Must have 1-2+ years of previous warehousing experience, preferably with some supervisory experience. Must have prior experience in dealing with contractors. If you have NOT been in a position to manage people in the past, please do not apply; • Must have reliable transportation, and at least a High School Diploma or GED; • Must be punctual, reliable, have good math and counting skills, and EXTREME attention to detail to ensure 100% accuracy for outgoing orders; • Be able to lift 50+ pounds, lift long objects as long as 30’ with others, and balance the same to assist in loading, stand or walk continuously throughout the day, and work year-round in a warehouse with climate controls; • Good ability to read, write and speak English; • Must be authorized to work in the United States, and be able to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check; • Excellent work ethic, reliability, honesty, and ability to communicate with supervisors and other team members. Benefits of this job: You will work directly under the owners, have a M-F work schedule with general operating hours between 7:00 am to 3:30 PM, five days a week. All major national holidays off with 5 hours pay after 90 days of employment. Overtime is possible during peak season. Pride in working a 12,500 square foot warehouse by organizing and maintaining a safe workplace. Once trained, you will be responsible for most daily operations. Some days work assignments will be very light, self-initiating is important to keep the location clean and organized. We are goal oriented with great teamwork. Work under warehouse assistant manager and owner. Starting pay open based on experience, probationary period is 60 days. We will train, an honest individual for this great job. Starting pay $15 per hour.
