The process will result in three to five cross-cutting priorities by May 2023. These priorities will guide actions to improve outcomes in Spokane County. We continue to adapt and improve our assessment model striving to assure equitable participation and inclusivity in each of the following areas important to quality of life: Economic Vitality, Education, Environment, Public Safety, Healthy People, and Housing. You have been identified as a person who can bring expertise and passion to this effort, especially in the area of the environment. We hope you will be available to participate when the taskforce meets. We know your input will be invaluable as we establish the direction of this effort. It is our expectation that each taskforce will convene twice for approximately 2.5 hours starting this fall through next March and then come together for a joint assembly in April or May. Organizations interested in working on the cross-cutting priorities will have additional opportunity to come together to plan, share and measure strategies to improve our community. Before attending the first meeting, please check out the Community Indicators Initiative website at http://www.communityindicators.ewu.edu/, which has the indicators we will review for your taskforce area. Please bring your ideas on other metrics that provide insight in this category of life in Spokane. Your knowledge and leadership will help us to complete this vital step and arrive at an inspirational set of priorities for improving our community. We hope you will join us. If you would like to attend other taskforce groups, please email our Community Assessment Coordinator at [email protected] or visit www.PrioritySpokane.org We want to hear your voice and perspective. If you face barriers to participation, we have a limited number of $25 gift cards available to support your involvement. Please email [email protected] for details. Thank you for your help identifying priorities for Spokane County. For additional information on our process visit our Assessment FAQ document.
