Upgrade Sound System tech - retail space

I am slowly in the process of updating some tech at our store in Ravenna, approximately a 3,500 sq foot space. Our current stereo equipment setup is old and clunky, so our hope is to modernize and free up some space and simplify. A couple of speakers that we have in-store no longer work, so I imagine we'll want a completely new setup. We typically have music playing all day (from 7:30am to about 8:30 at night) and want to get the music playing at a consistent volume throughout our space - right now it can pretty much only be heard at the front end. Music usually is played from an app (staff's own cellphone) plugging into an old receiver with an auxiliary cable. We do have WiFi onsite throughout the store. Additionally, we host events, so being able to connect our microphone into any new speaker setup would be great for the future too but is not necessarily a priority at this time.
