Ever wonder what some of those birds we see kayaking are. Now is your chance to find out. Please join us and listen to our Speaker for this Meeting will be Mike Cooper from the Four Harbors Audubon Society.
Mike has been a field trip leader for local birding clubs since the 1970s and writes the Seasonal Summary column for the New York State ornithological society’s journal, The Kingbird.
This program will show some examples of birds - and a few other critters - that you may find along Long Island’s rivers and bays, and hopefully clear up some of those age-old questions, like “Is that a heron or an egret”?
