PART-TIME PACKAGING ASSEMBLER Based in Modesto, CA $16 - $18 hourly TO APPLY Please respond to this posting with a copy of your resume or work history. SUMMARY We are seeking a Part-Time Packaging Assembler that will work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. This person will be responsible for the manufacturing process of our products. DUTIES • Operate forklifts in packaging process and load trucks for shipment. • Use computer to generate labels for correct case and product descriptions. • Sealing shipping containers and labeling them appropriately. • Operate packaging equipment. • Remove Cheese wheels from shelves and unwrap and clean the wheels for cutting purposes. • Place cheese wheels and blocks onto appropriate shelves and fill out inventory records accurately. • Use of manual tape machines to assemble boxes. • Place appropriate and accurate cheese in cases and seal. • Place finished products on pallets according to pallet placement specifications. • Meet the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift. • Filling out packing and order forms with the relevant shipping information. • Making cases for the packaging needs of the week. • Follow the company’s safety and quality guidelines. • Keep the worksite clean to avoid hazards. • General plant duties as assigned by management. • Comply with company quality objectives. Ensure quality and accuracy of products. • Wear appropriate equipment to maintain safe food handling practices. REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to lift 70 pounds. • Ability to climb ladders up to 12 feet or higher. • Must have forklift experience. • Computer skills. • Self-motivated. • Adaptability to a fast-paced production environment. • Must be able to follow instructions and adhere to all company safety procedures ad recommendations. • Ability to work well with others in a teamwork environment.
