This conference will feature keynote speaker, Dr. Aaron Blight, author and founder of Caregiver Kinetics. Dr. Blight has thought a lot about the MEANING of care -not only for those who RECEIVE care but also for those who GIVE care. Dr. Blight has more than 20 years -experience being a caregiver, professionally supporting caregivers and studying caregiving, this inspired him to create a book for family caregivers that is easy to read, relatable, and profound. A book that actually makes a difference, “When Caregiving Calls.” The first 150 people through the door will receive a free copy. Additional guest speakers include, Dr. Reddy, Professor and Researcher with Texas Tech University, Ginny Funk, Director of Programs with the Alzheimer’s Association, Laura Reyher, MSN-FNP and Nursing Instructor with West Texas A&M University Mason Harlan, Attorney and Ken Branum, Chaplain with High Plains Senior Care. Lunch will be provided by Olivia’s Angels at the event along with CEU’s for Social Workers, and LPCs at no cost with reserved seating.
