Best Art Classes for Kids | RAZ Art After-school | 4 per mth, 1 ea wkSTOP MOTION ANIMATION | ages 9-15 Children will write a short story, based on their memorable experiences, arrange their scenes with panels, sculpt characters, and build the stage and props. When all is ready, students will set it up and make their own Stop Motion movie by taking pictures to make a Stop Motion movie - a filming technique in which one takes a picture any time the position of a character and/or an object is changed in order to make the illusion of movement. STOP MOTION ANIMATION Classes for Kids Class 1. Brainstorm and outline - Decide on who is the Main Character. Class 2. Story list- Arrange the order of the scenes and write what you need for each one (2 locations, props, and 3 characters). Start building a set. Class 3. Stage and props - Finish building and painting the 2 stages and make props. Class 4. Characters - Sculpt 2-3 characters (or use dolls/action figures). Class 5. Finish making the props and sculpting characters. Class 6. Filming - Learning how to use the app and set up everything for filming Class 7. Filming - Titles and Sound. Class 8.
