The 2022 Youth Stop the Violence Walk & Summit will start with a Walk and Motorcycle Votercade at Kelley Ingram Park followed by a Summit at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. The Summit will feature Moderator Sherri Jackson, CBS 42 along with other special guest panelists. Topics to be discussed include: 1) Family and Domestic Violence , 2) Substance Abuse and Violence, a. Opioid Crisis, 3) Mental Health Issues and Violence, 4) Workplace Violence, 5) Bullying and Teen Violence , 6) Sexual Assault/Human Trafficking, and 7) Gun Violence. There will be two (2) panel discussions followed by a Q & A session. A Reception will immediately follow the Summit. Voter registration will take place on-site. Music will be provided by DJ Magic Mike of V94.9FM.
