Master Contractor Seeking Full Time Helper for 1-2 Year Apprenticeship

I am the owner of a construction company and we do residential kitchen and bath projects that are done with skill, passion and good relationships with our clients. I have a worker who is the most skilled, meticulous contractor that I have ever met. He understands both the business and the customers. In his personal life he is awesome, happily married, 2 grown kids, and a killer musician. At the age of 62, he is set financially and could retire, but he doesn’t want to. In his words “I want to find someone who gives a shit about this business who actually wants to learn what it means to be a contractor, to care about another human being’s home.” And he adds: “I still have something to give.” I am seeking someone who wants to learn the trades from a master, by being a full time helper for 1-2 years and then could become their own lead. Pay is negotiable based on skillset. -Is interested in learning how to build high quality kitchens and bathrooms. -Is interested in learning about the business of construction. -Has at least 1 year of full time construction experience under their belt or went to trade school. Wants to work 40 hours a week. Has a reliable vehicle. Has a reliable cell phone. After you are trained and skilled you could come on and be a lead carpenter and make $50/hour or more. Job locations will vary. Our company is medium sized, laid back yet hard working, creative and fun. We do awesome, creative projects, sometimes through designers.
