Description
THE ROLE Responsible for planning and managing the warehouse activities for receiving product, controlling inventory, and maintaining the warehouse, including installation equipment, supplies, vehicles, and covering dispatch. WHAT YOU’LL DO Receiving, Storage and Reloading: Manage receipt of all products, including verifying box count, packing slip counts and inspecting for freight damage. Identify product received and pull work order paperwork (CAP list) as appropriate. Match product received to CAP lists. Communicate product receipt to Operations manager and customer service, on a daily basis. Stage and store product in the warehouse, noting the location on the IQ system. Tag all stored product for easy identification. Handle product inventories in a professional manner, minimizing damage or potential damage by others. Pull product and assist with loading shipments out of the warehouse, ensuring the product is protected and vehicles are properly packed. Warehouse Organization: Maintain the warehouse in a clean and highly organized manner, including stored product, supplies, equipment, parts, vehicles, etc. Ensure security of the warehouse at all times, including the establishment of security procedures and instructions for warehouse crew and installation field crew. Ensure the physical condition of the warehouse is maintained, including roof, doors, utilities, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, etc. Ensure hazardous materials are properly stored and secure. Vehicles/Equipment/Supplies: Maintain adequate installation / delivery / warehouse supplies and purchase or recommend the purchase of replacement stock as necessary. Warehouse programs: Management of customer inventories, including in and out transaction documentation. Management of product service and repair for items damaged in receipt or through warehouse handling. Processes / Procedures: Ensure industry-standard receiving procedures and documentation are followed, including proper freight claim procedures. Field operations: Interface with field crews to ensure the correct product is pulled and loaded for delivery to the site. Interface with field crews to ensure product returns are fully documented and communicated to the appropriate dealership personnel. WHAT YOU BRING Experience in warehouse and inventory management, processes and procedures. Extensive furniture product knowledge, including repair and servicing, knowledge of the trucking industry, and proper product handling. Understanding of field installation practices and processes. Administrative discipline and organization. Interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with office and installation staff. Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, sound judgment in business transactions, and commitment to provide the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
