Description

I’m a guitar player and I can sing and do backing vocals and I’m looking to start or join a band. I play a lot of other instruments but guitar is my main thing, I usually prefer playing lead guitar but I wouldn’t mind being the rhythm guitar player if a band already has the lead covered. I have plenty of experience, I don’t mind driving and I’m quite easy to deal with. I’d say my biggest influences are Steve Cropper, early Jeff Beck (on Yardbirds), BB King, Albert Collins, Muddy Waters and Wilko Johnson. I play a few Fender Esquires (because of Cropper and Jeff Beck!), a Gibson ES355, a Vox AC30, a Fender Tweed Deluxe and a Martin D28. I’d love the play some Stax and Motown stuff, I’d love to play some old blues, some 50s and 60s rock and roll or something in between. I love to get in the studio with people and write tunes and I’d love to write some songs mixing everything we’re into but I don’t mind playing covers. I’m also open to something that is not exactly what I listed, I really just want to play. Let me know if that sounds interesting! And here’s a lot of different popular groups I’m into and that I’d love to do something similar to help with the search. Booker T & the MGs, Eddie Floyd, Sam & Dave, The Staple Singers, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cook, The Temptations, James Brown, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, The Supremes, Muddy Waters, BB King, Albert King, Freddie King, Albert Collins, Howlin Wolf, Lightnin Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, T Bone Walker, Little Walter, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Johnny Kidd & The Pirates, Little Richards, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, The Who, The Kinks, The Animals, Gerry & The Pacemakers, Freddie & The Dreamers, Jacques Dutronc, Jacques Brel, Dr Feelgood, Rolling Stones, Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Louis Jordan, Sarah Vaughan.
