Grade 8/9 Students: Paid national reading study

Please read to the bottom where you can apply (on the link below) • We are looking for students in grade 8/9 to help evaluate new national test questions. • Students will not be graded! We are seeking feedback about the clarity and design of reading passages and questions (and not testing student knowledge or ability.) All information is kept confidential. Names will NOT be associated with the research. • Participation is on Zoom/Teams Meeting. Student must have to a Computer/Tablet with strong Internet Connection. • Appointments are afterschool east coast (some are afterschool west cost). • 8th/9th grade students will receive $75 for meeting for 90-minutes. • Each student and their parent or guardian will have their choice of Visa, Amazon, Best Buy or many other retailer gift cards, or may choose PayPal, etc. Student must have access to Zoom on a computer or tablet. Student must be willing to participate for 90 minutes. Parent may be present during the session, if desired, but only to observe, not to help with the understanding of the materials. (We need the child's feedback to be sure it's understandable at grade level.) Parent/legal guardian must apply for the study. A parental Consent Form must be signed (electronically, via computer).
