Are you interested in learning some old rags, early blues, Italian mandolin or jazz tunes that are fun to play? Would you like to develop a practice regiment with specific musical goals? I can help! My names Maxwell Poulos, I’ve been playing music full time in New Orleans on and off for 8 years. Just moved back to town and am seeking to share all I’ve learned! Specializing in traditional jazz, Italian mandolin music,ragtime and early blues music, I can help you develop the skills you need to better understand the mandolin or tenor banjo. I am now accepting students of all musical levels! I teach exclusively by ear with the aid of old recordings. No need to know how to read music or tab. Offering in person lessons or via Zoom.
