Description

Some of you may have seen me and my dog, Max, riding up and down Broad Street several times a week on my electric tricycle. I'm the fat old lady with blue hair. That tricycle is my independence. Without it, I have to call a cab, or Trans-Hernando, to go anywhere.| Also, Max chases me around Tom Varn Park. That keeps him healthy and his nails trim. He's in great shape for a 12-year-old dog. I rode my trike to the laundry at Brooksville Square this past Wednesday (10/12) and it was working fine. I did have a problem with the front brake. The cable was frayed something awful, and I just couldn't get it adjusted. It was either too loose or too tight. When I got home, replaced the front brake cable with the rear cable because the rear brake has never worked well anyway. I also ordered new cables and brake pads that I received today. This morning, I got on my trike to go shopping. The battery is fully charged. I know, because of the gauge in the digital control panel. When I engage the throttle, nothing happened. Usually, when there is a problem, I will get a code on the control panel, but there was nothing. There has got to be a disconnect or short somewhere in the wiring. I'm probably going to have to loosen all the wires and follow them to figure it out. I really could use the help of someone who knows a bit about electric motors. Due to rent increase and evacuation, I can't afford to pay anything. I wish I had more to offer than my thanks, but currently, that's all I have.
