Looking to Start Indie/Alt. Rock Band

Description

Late 30s singer songwriter looking to put together indie and classic rock inspired band. Seeking folks into fun, simple songs and open to making them musically weird. I have a handful of songs in different states of completion and am down for interesting covers. - I want to put on energetic performances and get an album recorded. Looking for full collaboration. Big goals are maybe play Black Cat and/or Fort Reno, but in the meantime, cool porchfests, backyard parties or basements would be more fun then smatterings of people at random bars. - Looking for folks with flexible-ish schedules, champing to play live and record. Also looking for folks really willing to share in the tasks of promotion and outreach. I've spent a lot of time in previous bands being the sole person doing that and alone, it's daunting. I see a band as something of a democratic effort, sharing skills and effort in and outside of music. To me that might mean making fliers, helping book shows, helping with online presence, or maybe knowledge with recording or mixing. Generally working together to keep anyone from burnout. - Also, kind of just looking for folks that it would be fun to catch a show with or hang and chat. That includes people from whatever background, unless said people have problems with others. I'm a pretty generic, basic-assed dude here but looking for any and all interested parties. If this ad has kept you interested this long and you're still interested after hearing sound clips, who am I to not at least hope we'd get along. Definitely down to maybe meet up first, grab a drink or nosh and chat prior to jamming or whatever. - It's looking like the band that I'm in now is slowing down, but I'd like to keep moving forward. I have a shed that we can possibly practice in, but if you've got a better space, then cool. My work is pretty demanding, but I want to make a musical endeavor work. Looking for the general rock band basics (guitar, bass, drums, plus keys would be great too). Backing vocals strongly encouraged. - Feel free to reach out with any questions or comments. Best regardless.
