Before you enroll, I suggest you do an internet search on the company name. Make sure to look at least 3 to 4 pages in. Does the company name come up at other addresses? Do you find odd listings saying they do rug cleaning, sell restaurant supplies, etc? This is what some clinical trial sites do to hide bonuses they get from drug companies. They hide the money because by law they have to inform volunteers if the receive a retention bonus. Why do they hide this fact: because if you start feeling unwell and want to drop out, they will cajole, intimidate you to stay in the trial, and you won't know the reason is that they have a financial incentive to keep you in. Long story short, FDA is aware and doesn't care. Even Rutgers University wrote about this over a decade ago. I recommend before you give approval, ASK them if they may receive bonuses from the sponsor (personally, I would record it).
