You, Mom, and Dad were front row, stage left at the Doobie Brothers concert Saturday 9/24. My Dad and I were sitting on the same aisle, back in the 4th row. At the end of the concert, I came up and stood next to you to take a couple photos. I was singing and dancing a little bit. That's when guitar player Pat Simmons threw out some guitar picks! One landed right between us. I was bending down to pick it up, but you beat me to it. I thought it was so cool you got it, I said, "Wow you got the guitar pick!!" Without a blink of an eye you said, "You didn't get one? My Dad already has one, here you can have this one..." and you handed me the pick.
I was really shocked, speechless. I still can't decide what was more amazing and beautiful: your kindness and generosity or your smile. You hit me like a ton of bricks. All I could manage to do was jump up and down with excitement and say "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" You held out your arms and gave me a hug! I ran back to my Dad and showed him the guitar pick and said "No way! I got one! That really nice girl gave it to me, I can't believe it!" I wanted to go back and ask you for your name. When I turned around and headed towards you, I saw you again but I was too nervous to do anything more than smile at you.
The show was a bucket-list concert for my Dad and I. We love concerts, but have never seen the Doobie Brothers before. We luckily scored those amazing tickets last minute- right here on Craigslist of all places. As amazing as the concert was, as great as it sounded, for some of the best seats we've ever had at Moda Center before, as awesome as my guitar pick is - now the only thing I can think about is how amazing you were. How kind and sweet you were to me. I'd give anything to know your name and a chance to take you out to coffee or lunch. Thank you. :-)
