This talk will feature the Club’s very own Matt Martin. He will focus on understanding the basic concepts of pruning in a New England garden. The talk will include pruning for proper plant health care with a heavy focus on the “why” rather than the “how.” Have you ever heard of a “tool off”? This fun and educational contest is open to any interested member! You will bring your one favorite hand-held garden tool, and have a few minutes to pitch it to a small group as to why it’s your favorite. Then we’ll have the winners from each group pitch to the crowd. Finally, we will vote on the best tool! This event is free for Hamilton Wenham Garden Club members. It is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10. Please note that prior to the start of the program, the membership will conduct a brief business meeting. The lecture will start at approximately 7:30 p.m. We hope to see you there!
