For residents and visitors alike, the South Fork's inconsistent cellular coverage is a source of great frustration -- and, for some, a worrisome situation that could be dangerous in an emergency. But proposal for new towers designed to address the problem are regularly rejected by the people who would live in their shadows, for both aesthetic reasons and fear of potential dangers.
