They’ve graced stages up and down the west coast with their wild stage shows and soaring harmonies, and with the upcoming release of their Album “Nothing Ever Changes It Only Gets Worse” 2022 is looking to be their biggest year yet. A River Runs Thru It Bio: The story of two brothers and the unwavering pursuit of their lifelong passion. A River Runs Thru It is a Modernist post-punk group formed in the wilderness of Urban Montana. A melding of aggressive alt-rock leads and melodic basslines paired with their emotionally driven lyrics makes for an exciting journey through the highs and lows of both life and tones. They describe themselves musically as being a "Cool Monster". This mix makes for a more modern twist on their early 2000's pop-punk inspirations, which really helps them stand apart from other less adventurous throwback bands. The band has been performing since 2016 but didn't officially form until 2017 with the 4 current members. Brothers Joey and Michael Smith on lead guitar and vocals respectively, Cody Peterson on bass, and Milan Garcia on 2nd guitar and backup vocals. They recorded their upcoming debut EP "Living Under The Weather" out on 8/20/21 while working with Kevin Newland and Sean White in Fort Mills South Carolina on a team-building trip. "Living Under The Weather" While there they got first-hand industry training and experience in tuning the band's sound. Their songs are written around the traditional attention-grabbing guitar riffs and heavy beets to pair with the hard-core vocals, but they balanced out the aggression with harmonious bass lines. Where the notes are written to render an emotional scene to help connect with the impassioned lyrics. Anaconda Vice: Prog vs. Punk from Suplex City, MT. We write songs about pro wrestling.
