Topics covered will include creating media lunas to slow water and collect organic matter which provides better growing conditions for plants. Once established these plants create a feedback loop by slowing more water and collecting more organic matter. We will also have a hands on activity creating seedballs. Seedballs are designed to protect seeds until growing conditions are optimal. The monsoon rains dissolve the ball comprised of clay and release the seeds for germination. There will also be a reading of Elise's new book, "A Kids Guide to Ecological Restoration"!
