Celebrate the season with the Anderson Center's annual Holiday Home Tour December 3rd and December 7th - 10th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. This is the only time of year when the Tower View Residence, a unique part of Red Wing's history lovingly decorated for the holidays by local designers and businesses, is open for public tours! The Tower View Residence is a six-bedroom, four-bathroom Georgian Revival style home listed on the National Historic Register. Beautifully crafted cherry woodwork and decorative painting are featured throughout the house. It was built between 1916-1917 as a family home by Dr. Alexander Pierce Anderson, an educator, inventor, and plant physiologist best known as the inventor of puffed wheat. Today, the home used by artists, writers, & creators from across the globe through the Anderson Center's flagship Artist Residency Program. Make your own home and loved ones feel special as well by shopping for local & regional original works of art Winter Artist Showcase in the Anderson Center Main Gallery November 19 - January 27. Guest artist trunk shows in the Tower View Barn on Sat, Dec. 3 and Sat, Dec.10 provide even more opportunities for one-of-a-kind gift giving. Guided tours for small groups will depart for the Anderson Home from the Main Entrance to the Galleries. Guests must be present and checked-in at the Main Entrance at least 5 minutes prior to their tour start time. Tour admission is $10 for adults, $5 for youth under 18, and free for Anderson Center members. The Winter Artist Showcase in the Anderson Cener Main Gallery features a wide range of decorative and functional work with something for everyone, including ceramics, paintings, jewelry, and more.
