Drifted Cycles - Leander is looking for a “Mechanics Apprentice”. In this role you will shadow the shop mechanics over a 90 day probationary period. You will learn everything from changing tubes, tunes ups, and new bike assembly all the way up to the more advanced services like pro bike builds and suspension services. You will be provided all the tools, resources and support you need to be a great mechanic, including access to SRAM and Shimano Universities. Since we are a small shop, in your role you will also be required to answer phones, clean, sweep and take out trash at the end of the day. You will also be depended on to support our customers looking to purchase bikes and accessories by answering questions and recommending products and or services to satisfy their needs. Don’t worry you’ll be mentored on this as well. The ideal candidate will have the following:     •    Full time availability including weekends and holidays. The position will vary between 20-40 hrs per week depending on business needs.     •    A solid work ethic: You are organized, you pay attention to detail and maintain a clean and presentable appearance. You are also eager to learn new skills.     •    Have at-least 2 years retail experience directly interfacing with customers.     •    Personal riding experience, changing tires and tubes, bike washing and basic repair a plus.     •    Dependable.     •    Have reliable transportation.
