Wanted - Assistant shipping manager – Full time with weekly overtime available! We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Assistant Shipping Manager to join our team. You will assist planning, implementing and managing our shipping and distribution of glass, materials and tools. Your main duty will be to assist procuring the secure, accurate, timely and productive shipping and receiving processes. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Fork lift experience is a plus. Assistant Shipping Manager Job Duties: • Assists in all aspects of loading and unloading freight shipments. Forklift experience is required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Assists in all aspects of maintaining the organization of inventory spaces, including dedicated warehouse space. • Receives and maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock. • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on large and small parcel orders and will-call orders. • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. • Prepares orders for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, boxing, loading, and securing product. • Documents product shipment by recording units shipped. • Custom cuts glass for special cut orders. • Assists with customers and vendors to set up outgoing and incoming freight shipments. • Communicates and works directly with customers and management. • Assists in the loading of will call orders. • Shares responsibility to maintain material-handling equipment. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Displays potential leadership qualities by setting a good work ethic to other co-workers in the department and consistently displays team effort.
